I don't currently serve a church. But I don't really believe in retirement. I am on the road with people who wonder what it means that Jesus is not to be found in a tomb.
It might take some time to figure out what this website is all about. I am not sure I know myself. I am endlessly curious about the world because I think it is the creation of our endlessly creative God.
When Rich served his first church in an interim capacity he came to feel how hard it was for people to get hold of the nature of the change they were going through. Asking, What can I do to help them avoid getting stuck in the past as they embrace these changes? he realized we really can’t do anything to pull people along when they are stuck in the middle of loss. All we can do is walk with them.
Easter is a time to launch–a time to get started on a journey–a time to shake off the mooring lines of the past–a time to start living in the power of our faith.
In order for the power of Easter to have a lasting impact a thoughtful period of preparation is set aside each year.
Lent consists of those preparation weeks leading up to Easter.
